From the exploits of cagers Frank Davis and David Smith in the 60s to modern-day national players of the year Jay Mauck and Jarred Merrill … from the Olympian feats of Jeff Bennett to the national champion relay teams of the 70s and 80s … from a World Series baseball team to an Elite Eight women’s hoops squad … from the three-time national golf champions to multiple tennis and cross country crowns … whether it’s national tournament appearances in soccer, softball or something else, Oklahoma Christian has enjoyed across-the-board athletic success for half a century.

Oklahoma Christian fields teams in men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s soccer, men’s and women’s cross country, men’s and women’s track and field, men’s and women’s golf, baseball and softball, with student-athletes honored as All-Americans and Academic All-Americans on an annual basis.

OC is a perennial contender on the national scene, highlighted by its top-10 rankings in the Directors’ Cup national all-sports standings the past three years. OC had a No. 7 ranking in 2002-03, qualifying 11 of its 12 athletic programs for national tournaments and winning the 2003 national championship in men’s tennis.

OC added two more national titles in 2009 and 2011, as the men’s golf team captured the championship both years. OC’s Oscar Stark was the 2011 national medalist in men’s golf. In fall 2011, another national championship came home to Oklahoma Christian when the men’s cross country team won it all.

OC won three national championships in 2012 - men’s tennis, men’s cross country and men’s golf. Vilhelm Bogstrand also won the 2012 individual title in men’s golf. In total, OC has won 53 national titles (including 41 individual and relay championships in cross country and track and field). Twenty-six of OC’s national championships have come in the past five years.
