Lady Eagles capture fifth against MNU

BETHANY, Okla. (Nov. 21, 2009) – The Oklahoma Christian Lady Eagles’ basketball team routed MidAmerica Nazarene University 95-61 in their second game of the Nazarene Classic on Saturday afternoon.

The Lady Eagles dominated the hardwood on Saturday afternoon scoring relentlessly from the field. The Lady Eagles were on fire averaging 61% from the field and draining threes with 65% accuracy. The first half saw OC with 45 points to MNU’s 31. OC held MNU to only 30 points in the second half while scoring 50 themselves.

Brittney Kennedy led the Lady Eagles in point scoring putting up 21 points throughout the game. Krista Stevens also made a large contribution adding another 16 points in addition to her three rebounds and three assists.

Lindsay McCown, Lisa Chenoweth, and Kailan DeCamp all saw double digits scoring 11, 10, and 10 points, respectively. Decamp passed out a total of eight assists with Chenoweth handing out four.

Roz Hamilton scored another nine points for the Lady Eagles and made six assists in the game. Katy Clift scored eight points going 2 for 2 from behind the arc.

The Lady Eagles earned their fifth win of the season with the 95-61 victory over MNU to put them at 5-1 for the year. The Lady Eagles compete again on Monday in Alva, Okla. against Northwestern Oklahoma State University in a double header with the men’s team. The women’s game starts at 6 p.m. followed by the men’s at 8 p.m.
