Head Coach

In his first season as head coach, Sean O’Connor led the Lady Eagles to the best season in program history.

The Lady Eagles went 17-2-2, captured the Sooner Athletic Conference championship and advanced to the NAIA national tournament. He was honored as Sooner Athletic Conference coach of the year and placed seven players on the all-conference team.

O’Connor became head coach in 2006 after serving as an assistant for the men’s and women’s teams in 2005.

O’Connor was an All-America honorable mention standout at Lindenwood University (Mo.) and played professionally in Sweden.Â From 1992 to 1995, he was a member of the Tyreso FF and Hanriken SK teams in Stockholm.

He returned to Oklahoma and was associated with Enterprise Rent-A-Car and became actively involved in coaching club soccer teams in the Oklahoma City area.Â A former principal in Advanced Laser Center in Oklahoma City, he operates his own marketing consulting firm with clients throughout Oklahoma.

Born into a military family at Altus AFB in Altus, Okla., the 38-year-old O’Connor is married to the former Sylvia Jansson of Stockholm, Sweden.Â The couple has three sons, Robbie, Christian and Matthew.
